Oscillating Plateaus  is put together by photographs and archival microfilm material related to Hundertmark's great-grandfather and poet William Jeffrey (1896 - 1946), who also wrote newspaper articles for The Glasgow Herald between 1920 and 1940. The fictional newspaper containing Jefrey's articles and Hundertmark's images has been drenched in oil and hung up to dry on a metal pulley, exposing transparencies on the paper that merge together images and words.
