Maiden Voyage is a series of analog self-portraits taken between 2015-2016 across three different countries that I was connected to at the time. The photographs show myself performing for the camera, shifting in and out of

landscapes and characters as if following an unknown script. To begin with the staged scenes were created at my family‘s abandoned farm house in the German countryside and later expanded to other German cities, Bulgaria and Scotland. The images exist somewhere in the space between imagination and reality and carry a strong sense of absurdity while capturing dreams, fears and fantasies on a solitary

journey through the surreal landscape.
